The military said two Marines assigned to Regimental Combat Team 5 were killed Sunday in fighting in the volatile Anbar province west of Baghdad, while a roadside bomb killed a soldier from the 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division near the northern city of Mosul.Another soldier, from the 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, was killed Sunday by a roadside bomb near Baqouba, 35 miles northeast of Baghdad, the military said. The names of the dead were being withheld until military officials could contact their families. At least 2,653 members of the U.S. military have died since the Iraq war started in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.
