Howard Dean tells Fox News they're 'shockingly biased'
by Raw Story
"There are some things in the news department that have really been shockingly biased and I think that's wrong and I just say so right up front," DNC Chairman Howard Dean told Fox News Sunday. "It is important also for us -- we shouldn't punish the viewers of Fox by staying away. Now those viewers have had an opportunity to look at the debates on other channels, now they're going to have an opportunity viewing on this channel and I think that's fair."
Neil Rogers signs WQAM deal at big pay cut
by Tom Jicha
Half a loaf isn't such a bad deal when it's the only one available. This explains why Neil Rogers agreed to a 50 percent pay cut in order to sign a new five-year deal with WQAM (AM 560). Half a loaf also isn't bad when the full loaf goes for about $1.5 million a year, Rogers' current pay level.
More of the same means none of the above
by CapitolHillBlue.com
Sadly, the 2008 race for President has devolved into the same, useless morass that gives voters little choice, little hope and little reason to go to the polls. It makes many of us wish "none of the above" was an option on the ballot come November.Sen. John McCainRepublicans had a chance to move away from George W. Bush's failed war, his corrupt administration and his inane policies that have driven this country to an economic precipice. Instead, they opted for John McCain, Bush's most ardent supporter on the war and a former so-called GOP "maverick" who now marches in perfect goose step to the party mantra.
Why I don't think the Greens can do it for the Progressive Movement
by Michael Kwiatkowski
I've been trying, in my humble way, to help jump-start a renewed Progressive Party presence. But a question that is often asked of me is why not just join the Green Party. I could go into a long and detailed explanation, but the short of it is that I don't think they're very organized and some of their campaigning methods rub me the wrong way. (For the record, the reason I don't say much about the Libertarian and Socialist Parties is because I don't know enough about their organizational structure or their methods of campaigning to make an informed assessment.)
Fantasy or Reality - Is There a Way Back?
by Siv O'Neall
The world is standing on its head. Logic and reason are gone. Humpty Dumpty had a big fall and is sliding downhill faster than has ever been seen in the times of so-called civilized life on earth.Humane priorities are ignored by the dirt-covered oligarchs who decide over the future of our all but condemned planet. The best people with a sound intellect and an intact sense of compassion can do nothing in this up-side down world but write and speak about what ought to be done to save the people, to save the planet. Nothing makes sense any more. Biotechnical corporations are poisoning the planet, the arms industry is supplying the means for the extermination of millions of harmless people every year. Money is directed to warfare and other lethal pursuits and the huge fortunes amassed by the oligarchs is sterile money that doesn't contribute in any way to the solution of the global problems that are destroying the planet.

As media pounces on Obama relationships, McCain gets a pass
by Nick Juliano
It's a classic pattern in politics, isn't it? A young, fresh, charismatic, upstart candidate bursts onto the campaign trail to glowing reviews from the press that covers him only to have those same reporters and pundits aim their BB guns toward his rising balloon just as it's ready to crest the horizon.
